Uplink Physical Channels

An uplink physical channel contains resource elements that carry information originating from higher layers.

The following uplink physical channels are defined:

The following general steps describe uplink signal generation on a physical uplink shared channel. Figure 1 illustrates this process.

  1. Scramble the bits.

  2. Modulate the scrambled bits to generate complex-valued symbols.

  3. Apply transform precoding to generate complex-valued modulation symbols.

  4. Map the complex-valued modulation symbols to resource elements.

  5. Generate a complex-valued time-domain SC-FDMA signal for each antenna port.
